The National Coalition of Black-Led Organisations (NCbLO) was conceived in 2003. Its purpose is to be an effective umbrella organisation, working at the strategic level to deliver the social, economic and political participation of the Black communities of the United Kingdom, commensurate with the contribution those communities make to the national prosperity of our country.
NCbLO exists to raise awareness of race equality issues and seeks, through its activities, to develop and support measures that improve the life experiences of the Black communities we represent and enhance the social cohesion of the United Kingdom by promoting positive race relations.
The NCbLO is committed to constructive engagement, seeking to work as a critical friend of the public and private sectors and other agencies
Membership of the umbrella organisation is open to all Black-led organisations provided their aims and objectives
are compatible with that of the NCBLO. constituent
members currently are NBCPA, RESPECT, PROUD
Network, CSREN, MENSoR, National Black Police
Association, London Fire Brigade, National Black
Women’s Network, Black Prison Officers’ Association,
Equalities Associates, Black Leadership Initiative,
Association of Black Social Workers & Allied Workers,Cabinet Office among others, all of which represent the
interests of Black and Minority Ethnic staff in Government
funded Departments and /or organisations. |
